Darryl Catton's story

I am looking for people who served In Thule, in 1959 as my father did. He was in the RCAF and was in Thule on a resupply mission. He is interested in contacting people who were there at the same time and possibly to trade pictures etc.

Thanks for your help
Angela Catton

I was 18 years old and part of a crew of 29 C.M.U.personel who left Lincoln Park (Calgary) for Thule Greenland and Alert N.W.T. The project was supervised by W02 Morgan. We spent a month as guests of the American Airforce at Thule Greenland. While there we loaded 124 Globemaster aircraft day and night with building material left there by ship to be transported to Alert for the construction of a new base 449 miles from the geographic North Pole. After we went to Alert for 3 months to construct the base.
